Election post
Ive been a part of Jazz soc since I started at UCL, and have loved every minute of it. Having managed the Phineas jam this year I’ve been able to meet so many new people and musicians, whilst developing my own skills.
I would love to continue my jazz journey in a similar vein - being able to organise and coordinate gigs externally to develop UCL’s reputation within the university, as well as the wider london jazz community.
If elected Gigs manager I would primarily like to create an auditions process to ensure everyone interested has the chance to expand their musical experience. And also use it as an opportunity to create something where people can further build on their time involved with the rest of the society.
Im confident I know UCL jazz society fairly well by now, but I want to carry on being involved because not only do I enjoy it, but I think I have something to offer it after I’ve been given so much.
