Election post
Hi, everyone. I am Marcus, a second-year biomedical sciences student from Hong Kong.
I am running for Treasurer because of my passion for Japan. Japan has always felt like a second home to me, and hence, I hope to provide an outstanding experience to people interested in Japanese culture. My time in Japan Society has been amazing. I really enjoyed the variety of unique events and the opportunity to make friends with similar interests, regardless of their background. As a sub-committee member this year, it was an honour to help organise these events and witness the development of the society and committee. Through the experience I have gathered this year, I hope to further contribute to this society's success and growth by managing its funds next year as the treasurer of the society.
Confident in my abilities and eager to learn, I would love the opportunity to dedicate myself to this community to let many others experience the wonders of Japanese culture.
My targets:
- Organise more cultural and social events for students to experience Japanese culture and make connections
- Maintain if not increase the number of discounts
- Organise collaboration events with Japan Society of other London universities
- Transparency in fund usage to fellow members
My targets and plans are not limited to the ones above. I am open to any suggestions from members.
I believe I can have a positive impact on this society, and I promise to make your time as a member of Japan society memorable. Please vote for me!!
