Assalamualaikum, 

This year I've enjoyed engaging with the Islamic Society and witnessing the community it creates and bonds it strengthens . Naturally, one would be eager to give back to any good cause, and as such, I am running for Welfare Officer. 

In this position I intend to support the needs and wellbeing of our community through:

  • Events catered towards the needs of young Muslims, such as workshops, speaker talks, and reflective halaqahs
  • Providing a safe and approachable space for members
  • Creating new avenues to enhance the sense of community within the society.
