UCL Indian Society has been a huge part of my university experience, and as a First-Year Representative, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with the committee to create an inclusive and engaging community. Now, I want to take that experience further by leading the society as President. This role presents an exciting challenge - one that will push me to develop new skills, collaborate with an incredible team, and enhance the society for future members.

My experience as FYR has given me valuable insight into the workings of the committee, from event planning to membership engagement. I have built strong relationships with the fellow FYRs and developed key skills in time management, leadership, and communication. I am confident that my organisational abilities, creative ideas, and passion for the society make me a strong candidate for this role.

If elected, I will expand the Indian Soc Families initiative to create a stronger sense of community. I plan to introduce more sports events to engage a wider audience and host regular society events like games nights to bring members together. Additionally, I will work closely with the Head of Sponsorships to attract more sponsors, ensuring better funding for our events. My goal is to make the society more inclusive, dynamic, and engaging for all members.

I look forward to the opportunity to lead, innovate, and create a thriving community, and make UCL Indian Society the best it’s ever been.
