Anay Bindroo

As a professional TikTok and Reels doomscroller, I believe the role of marketing head is best suited for me. I am highly aware of how the internet engages with content, and am up to date on the newest trends that I would use to produce the most masala content of all the South Asian societies...

I have previously worked for my school's  'Class of 2024' Instagram and TikTok page, as well as managing the social media accounts of a local restaurant, which has given me firsthand insight into creating compelling reels, posts, and tweets that attract and retain audiences. I would love to bring this expertise to the India Society Committee, using my skills in video editing (CapCut) and photo editing (Photoshop) and combining this with my extensive knowledge of Indian culture and humour to create relatable and retainable content.

Completing a biochemistry degree means I have depression to work in groups for project work, where tasks are often split up and delegated to members of my group. I believe these skills are highly transferable to this role, ensuring that marketing officers can efficiently divide the sponsorship and content requirements.

I applied for an FYR role and made it to the final round of interviews earlier this year, showing my early commitment to the India Society, and I hope I can make an impact next year if I am elected Marketing Head. Mujhe vote do, warna India Society ke posts bhi WhatsApp uncle ke forwards jaise lagne lagenge 😉
