Jane Lamb

Hi! I’m Jane Lamb, a second-year Ancient World student. I am also the current workshop coordinator for GNCS and I’m throwing my hat into the ring for the Welfare officer position!

As the future welfare officer of GNCS, I resolve to maintain the friendly and inclusive social environment that we have now and expand on it further with new members and a new committee. I want to continue to help young artists and writers in GNCS to bloom their creative passion in an academic environment. I also have additional skills that allow me to help with other members in the committee when needed. I am somewhat competent in notion and Canva, but I am a master in Google Slides (and Welfare). I believe this gives me an ankle length above the other applicants. As they say, you are either good at bowling or at Google Slides and Welfare…

I like helping this society as much as I can outside of my role, from helping the marketing manager to volunteering at the GNCS MCM stall. From this, I have developed good teamwork and organisation skills that I believe are vital in operating the society as smoothly as possible. By being greatly involved in society activities, I hope that existing and new members of the society will find me approachable as Welfare officer.

If you vote for me, you will have these welfare benefits:

  • Vouching for a Toilet themed week
  • Welfare drop-in sessions during Friday Social sessions
  • Arranging activities like mindful colouring/ drawing/ writing during Friday social sessions
