Election post
Hi everyone! My name is Ambrine, and I am excited to run for the position of Welfare Officer for the Francophone Society. I am a third-year Dual BA student in European Social and Political Studies, and I originally come from Paris. I have always been involved in various student initiatives and would love to contribute to the well-being and growth of a UCL society!
At my previous university, I was an active member of the student committee of the Red Cross, as well as a member of the national Red Cross in France. In these roles, I organized numerous initiatives focused on student welfare, including events aimed at preventing malnourishment, addressing mental health concerns, and fostering a safe and inclusive community. I learned how to provide first-line support to students in need, connect them with appropriate resources, and create an environment where they feel safe, valued, and heard. My work has reinforced my ability to listen, be patient, and act effectively in times of difficulty.
If elected, I want to ensure that all members feel supported throughout their time at UCL. Beyond welfare, I also look forward to taking part in and helping organize the fun and engaging events that make our society such a great place to connect.
With Hana and Samuel let's break the stereotype that French people are rude, we are nice.
