Film and TV Society: Videography Officer

I’m Nafeez Ahmed, and I’m a first year Classics and the Ancient World student. 

I’d like to nominate myself to be the Videography Officer due to my experience as a videographer and photographer, that I’d love to put to use at UCL. I would love to create videos for the Film Society, some of my BTS and general work can be seen on my Instagram: @nafeez.visuals. I also have experience as an editor, I mainly use Davinci Resolve, and I’m currently learning to use Avid. 

Some of my experiences so far with videography at UCL includes the UCL Classical Play, in which I did photography behind-the-scenes and for rehearsals. I also filmed the entire the dress-run, and the closing night show on my personal Sony A7iii, which I edited together in Davinci: https://youtu.be/YQx7UXtlJzo?feature=shared

I put a lot of effort into film, so I’d love to stand for Videography Officer at the Film Society to become closer to the film community at UCL and collaborate more with the society as a whole, especially in filming for the society and working with marketing to promote it further. This would also give me an opportunity to use other equipment that I haven’t used before, such as more advanced camera gear and learn to become a better cinematographer.
