Vote Thea for Treasurer - because money actually matters!
Love chasing invoices? Budgets? Spreadsheets? I thought not. Vote Thea - because someone has to do the paperwork, and I know you don't want it to be you!
As a Biochemical Engineer minoring in Finance & Accounting, I can make sure all the finances are in order so we don't accidentally bankrupt ourselves (or resort to crowdfunding, your favorite). While you focus on enjoying or making the films, I'll make sure we have the money, equipment and venues to do it.
- Spreadsheets don't scare me
- Industry Connections? Got 'em. (From working in industry w/ The Artists Partnership from 2022-2024)
- Sponsorships? I'll find them. I love pestering when it's needed.
- Secured funding for my Fringe musical in 2022 (and won "Best Marketer" for it!)
If you want a treasurer who won't just count pennies but will bring them in, vote Thea. Let's make great films with a great budget ;)
Having been a member of filmsoc committee for 3 years now, in the abscense of the great Sam, I am ready to pick up the torch. In my roles as SEIM and archive officer, I have often decided how large sums of society money is spent. I am responsible, knowledgeable and I study astrophyisics too so numbers shoudn't befuddle me.
