Hello everyone, I am Nathan, a first-year BA Media student, excited to run for the position of Studio, Equipment, IT Manager (SEIM). Cinematography has always been my chosen medium of creative expression, allowing me to connect with the world and share my perspective. As a passionate filmmaker, I want to ensure our society’s resources are well-maintained, accessible and optimized for all production members.
As the Director of Photography for the FilmSoc Varsity Featurette, I have worked with professional equipment and understand the importance of high-quality gear. My background in video production, editing and cinematography gives me the expertise to manage our studio and ensure all production members can use the equipment effectively. I plan to conduct regular maintenance checks on both the equipment and booking system, as well as provide training sessions to help members operate cameras, lighting and editing software. Additionally, I will optimize the editing suite for a seamless post-production experience.
With my passion for filmmaking and commitment to organization and efficiency, I aim to make our society’s resources more accessible and beneficial. Working alongside the other SEIMs, I will dedicate my time to learning, maintaining and teaching equipment, empowering members to achieve their creative thoughts.
