I love reading film analysis as it never fails to amaze me by uncovering little details that often go unnoticed and exploring different interpretations of the same movie.

Co-Editor in Chief is an exciting role to me, being able to publish all the creative things that UCL students have to say about recent films.

Beyond written articles, I would love to continue the podcast, inviting guests over to discuss hot topics and fun debates about film to engage a wider audience.

Having previously been the Drama Producer in this society, I think adding a column on the Term Films/ Documentaries would enhance the journal’s depth and popularity. I’m always intrigued by the cool ideas that the crew brings to the table. Featuring UCL’s original productions through articles, mini vlogs, or podcasts would not only be interesting but also provide exposure for production members, giving them a platform to share their creative process. Documenting their work in a prestigious society journal would be great (who knows- maybe someone from here will be the next big name in film!!)

This journal is a meaningful platform for unique and fresh perspectives, and I would love to continue expanding it as Co-Editor, keeping readers engaged with the latest in entertainment.

Annoyingly, if there’s one thing I enjoy more than film, it’s film discourse. I like stoking the flames of debates overanalysing media and tearing down the egos of enigmatic film bros —whether Blade Runner 2049 is a masterpiece or just vibes, if Paddington 2 is genuinely the pinnacle of cinema, and why Barbenheimer was the closest thing our generation has to a religious experience and how studios have failed to remanufacture that phenomenon *cough cough* Saw Patrol, Glicked *cough cough* .

As a physics student, I like breaking things down—narrative structures, cinematography, and why a single well-timed cut can wreck your soul. I’ve spent years writing everything from literary essays to research papers, having spent time as editor-in-chief of my school newspaper and as a writer for various magazines and journals, though my favorite thing remains dissecting stories, themes, and the inexplicable magic of film. As co-editor, I want to make the journal a space where both the casual enjoyer and the self-proclaimed cinephile can revel in the joy (and chaos) of film criticism—where we can go from deep-dive analysis to absurdly passionate hot takes in the same breath. And yes, I will fight for Paddington 2 with my life.
