Esperanto and Endangered Languages Society: Vice-President

Hey everyone! My name is Danilo and I am applying to be the Vice President of EELS for my final year! I founded this society back in 2022 and was the president for two years and I was able to lead us to being shortlisted for “Best New Society” in 2023, and thus this society really means a lot to me and I want to get more involved this year after taking more a backseat these few past few months. Next year, I will continue to ensure that the society is a very welcoming and fun place where members can make friends and enjoy their time at university. I would also love to host some events and teach some of my taster sessions that I have done in the past, such as Cornish, Simlish, Occitan, Sicilian and others, and restart the Esperanto for beginners’ sessions. I also want to expand the society’s outreach and invite more guest speakers in and encourage more members to showcase their beautiful endangered languages. Due to my experience in the society and other societies and networks in UCL I believe that I will be able to help the committee of EELS to make it the best it can be.
