Hello! I'm Diego, and I'm a third-year Chemical Engineering student.
Having been part of the Engineering Society committee this past year, I’ve seen firsthand the great impact it has on students across the faculty. As the largest STEM society at UCL, Eng Soc provides invaluable opportunities for learning, collaboration, and professional growth, and I am eager to continue contributing to its success by applying for the role of Treasurer.
As Treasurer, I would be responsible for managing the society’s budget and ensuring its financial health and sustainability. I am committed to keeping our finances in order so that we can continue running high-quality events and expanding opportunities for our members. I will work closely with the rest of the committee to allocate resources effectively, ensuring that every expenditure benefits the society and its members.
I am confident that, with careful financial planning, we can help the society grow and provide even more value to our members.
Thank you for your consideration!

Hi everyone,
I'm running to be YOUR Engineering Society Treasurer. It's time EngSoc managed their financial structures in the way THEY WANT, and who better can serve it than someone who has worked on fleets of UAVs (around 700-1000 UAVs in one fleet) on extremely tight budget constraints. As your treasurer, I will ensure the monetary resources available to EngSoc are used to maximise socials and collabs with other clubs and universities. Additionally, I'll try to minimise our costs on academic enrichment events like lectures, seminars and alike without diminishing their quality and quantity. I personally understand the joy derived from sports socials like the recent UCLES London 2050 event so I'd strive to ensure the society maintains engagement with such events. I want EngSoc to have more engagement while maintaining the notion of academic rigour our society carries, and I'd maintain our resources that way. I aim to introduce affordable merch as and to secure more sponsors via advertising and career fairs, with some funding directly from the Faculty of Engineering to ultimately enhance YOUR experience as a EngSoc member. So, vote for me to be YOUR Engineering Society Treasurer TODAY!

Engineering is all about building solutions, and I believe that effective financial management is the foundation that allows innovative ideas to become reality. I'm running for Treasurer because I'm passionate about ensuring our society has the resources it needs to thrive and make a real impact. I'm committed to maintaining accurate and transparent financial records. I'll make sure every transaction is accounted for, giving our members confidence in how funds are managed. I plan to optimize our budget to enhance events, workshops, and projects that benefit everyone. By seeking out sponsorships and exploring new funding opportunities, we'll have more resources to invest in exciting initiatives like hackathons, guest lectures, and networking events. Collaboration is key. I'll work closely with the rest of the committee to align our financial strategies with the society's goals, ensuring that our funds are used effectively to support our shared vision. I'm also eager to introduce more transparency by providing regular financial updates to members. This open communication will foster trust and allow everyone to see how their contributions are making a difference. Choosing me as your Treasurer means selecting someone who's dedicated, meticulous, and passionate about our engineering community. Together, we can build a stronger society that empowers all of us to innovate and excel. Thank you for considering me for Treasurer. Let's engineer a future we're all proud to be a part of!

I’m Yuvi, an Information Management student with a strong interest in financial management and the impact of engineering on the world. My experience as a Project Manager at ADHDoers, an EdTech startup with nine million followers, has given me hands-on experience in managing budgets, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring projects are delivered on time. Leading a team to successfully launch bi-weekly webinars required financial discipline, strategic planning, and the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term sustainability.
As Treasurer, I will bring this same structured approach to managing the society’s finances. Ensuring a well-planned and transparent budget will allow us to support large-scale events, fund innovative engineering projects, and create better learning opportunities for our members. I will also work on strengthening relationships with industry sponsors to secure additional funding, helping expand the society’s reach and provide more technical workshops, competitions, and career-focused initiatives.
Finally, I will also focus on optimising costs while maintaining the quality of our initiatives. My experience balancing multiple stakeholders, forecasting expenses, and keeping projects on track has prepared me to ensure that UCL Engineering Society remains financially sustainable. My goal is to provide the financial foundation that allows the society to grow and continue delivering meaningful opportunities for our members.
