As a Civil Engineering student at UCL, I know that engineering is about more than just numbers and blueprints - it’s about opportunities, connections, and the resources to innovate. The Engineering Society has built a fantastic platform for students, and I want to expand its reach by securing sponsorships that bring in more funding, career opportunities, and, ideally, free pizza.
My background in business analysis and financial planning has given me the skills to negotiate deals that go beyond a one-time sponsorship. I want to bring in long-term partnerships with companies that recognise the talent in our society and are willing to invest in our members through funding, mentorship, and career programs.
I’ve successfully organised fundraising initiatives, convincing 150+ households to donate to charity - so persuading businesses to support one of UCL’s top societies is within my expertise. My experience in strategic planning and financial management ensures I can create sponsorship agreements that benefit both the society and our partners.
If elected, I’ll focus on securing larger sponsorships, better networking opportunities, and increased resources for all members. Vote for me as Head of Sponsorships, and let’s make sure the Engineering Society has the funding to grow and innovate!

I would love the opportunity to contribute further to our Engineering community through this role. Thank you for reading this and please vote for me!

Hello all, fellow engineers, and future corporate sponsors who haven't yet discovererd the joy of giving us money! I'm Thea, doing Biochemical Engineering minoring in Finance & Accounting, and I know you're thinking "Another engineer who's good with numbers? Groundbreaking."
But let me assure you, I can charm as well as I can calculate.
- Proven fundraiser: Co-hosted the annual Sunburst Muscular Dystrophy Concert (Singapore), raising £170,000 from donor contributions & ticket sales.
- Industry Experience: Led media campaigns reaching 200k+ professionals on LinkedIn for DNV Singapore
- Creative Communicator: Professional actor (repped by a big 4 UK agency) that now focuses on film production, and secured funding for my Edinburgh Fringe musical, earning "Best Marketer" award!
- Prev. Deputy Head of School & President of Science Faculty
If I can convince people to part with their cash after hearing me sing ABBA hits as a singing server at "Mamma Mia! The Party", imagine what I can do for our society's sponsorship budget. Fluent in English, Norwegian, and corporate-speak, I could be the triple threat UCLES needs!

Hi! I’m Carla, a Biomedical Engineering student, and I’m excited to run for Head of Sponsorship at UCLES. As a First-Year Representative, I gained first-hand experience in committee operations and how dependent the number and quality of events are on the society's sponsors. Now, I want to build on this foundation to make UCLES and our connections even better.
As head of sponsorships, I will do my best to find sponsors from every engineering discipline to ensure the largest amount of possible events and collaborations that benefit all of our members with collaborative events like site visits and networking opportunities. As an active member of UCLES, I have greatly enjoyed all the events we have put on this year, which would be impossible without funding, making it a great motivator.
I am very excited to contribute to UCLES again and help it go above and beyond this next year.

I am eager to take on a key role in the Engineering Society, building on my past experience as Projects Executive to drive impactful initiatives and support the committee in delivering exceptional events. Having successfully organized and managed large-scale projects (e.g. Engineering Ball 2024, London 2050, BPuzzled Hackathon), I am prepared to take on greater responsibilities, ensuring our society remains one of the best on campus.
My leadership roles in the Energy Society have equipped me with strong networking and sponsorship acquisition skills, allowing me to liaise effectively with large organizations to secure funding and support. I understand the importance of fostering corporate relationships and ensuring long-term partnerships that benefit our members.
Additionally, my time on the UCL Racing team has strengthened my teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Working under pressure and adapting quickly to challenges has prepared me to take on a leadership role that requires both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
In any position, I will be committed to mentoring new committee members, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams, and helping deliver innovative events and projects. My goal is to elevate the society’s impact, strengthen industry connections, and create an engaging environment for all members.
I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my skills and experience to continue the society’s success and bring fresh ideas to the team.

Hi, I’m Mrudula Paluri, a second-year Chemical Engineering student, and I’m excited to be running for Sponsorship Executive for the UCL Engineering Society.
As the Events Manager for UCLWES, I have gained valuable experience engaging with industry professionals, coordinating guest speakers, and identifying initiatives that bring value to members. Through this, I have developed strong communication and outreach skills, which are essential for securing sponsorships and fostering corporate relationships.
As Sponsorship Executive, I want to build strong, lasting partnerships with companies and create meaningful collaborations that benefit both our members and sponsors. My experience in communication, outreach, and event planning makes me well-suited for this role, and I am eager to contribute to enhance the society’s events and initiatives.
I look forward to strengthening industry connections for our members and working closely with the team to drive the society forward. I hope you consider voting for me!

Engineering Society has been a huge part of my university experience. Through events like our boat party, games nights, and career fairs, I’ve met so many amazing new people, made great connections, and had some of my best moments at UCL. I’m running for Head of Sponsorship to secure sponsorships that don’t just fund events but actively create opportunities for students—whether that’s through career connections, hands-on experiences, or just making sure we can throw bigger and better events!
I know how to build connections and make things happen. In sixth form, I founded Taylor’s Myanmar Society from scratch, reaching out to partners, growing our network, and organising events that built a strong, supportive community. As Projects & Events Executive for a volunteering society, I worked with external organizations to secure resources for large-scale initiatives. Now, as Social Secretary of UCL’s Burmese Society, I’ve handled outreach and collaborations to expand our reach and engage more students.
As Head of Sponsorship, I want to:
- Get companies on board that benefit students – more meaningful networking, more job opportunities, and partnerships that aren’t just about a logo on a banner
- Bring in more funding $$$ – so we can make our events bigger, better, and way more exciting!
- Build long-term partnerships – so Engineering Society keeps thriving, not just this year but for the future too.
Let’s make Engineering Society the society that that students get the most out of!
