Election post
Status
Elected

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
- Push for ethical educational partnerships; demand cutting ties with entities breaching UCL's own ethical policies
- Reduce exam anxiety by advocating for earlier timetable release and the option to type in-person exams
- Increase study space availability across campus
- Integrate sample lectures into the module handbook for informed module selection
- Streamline support pathways (deferrals, interruptions) to be easily accessible in times of need
- Secure scholarship opportunities to support more students
- Close feedback loops: faculties must report outcomes of your feedback, so your voices don’t go unheard
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?
- Extensive experience in UCL's education systems: through volunteering at offer holder days, mentoring first-years, and serving as an academic representative, I've worked with UCL undergrads across the years and am eager to widen my support
- Additionally, 5+ years as a TA at a faith school, private tutor, and summer school workshop leader for refugee children has heightened my knowledge of how to implement necessary changes into education systems
- As an SU Impartial Chair, I’ve been trained in facilitating debates and advocacy, allowing me to effectively represent your needs to the university
Please summarise why students should vote for you.
Having seen the impact of drawn out academic support processes on people around me, I want to reduce avoidable stress during difficult times by fighting for clearer access to adjustments.
The demand for an ethical and sustainable university has been raised by UCL’s student body louder than ever in the last two years. Like many of you, I've been frustrated by UCL's lack of accountability to its students.
If elected, I am committed to ensuring all your voices are heard by the university at the highest levels, and will work tirelessly to bring the changes you need to reality.
SJ for the SU! ;)
