Election post

Hello EFS members.
I’m Dorian Erlic, a third year Theoretical Physics student, running for the position of your Welfare Officer! Having been on the EFS committee for 2 years and with my current position as the Director of Alumni Relations, I have a great deal of experience in helping EFS achieve its goals. One of the largest goals being that each student feels welcome and comfortable at events I have hosted. This includes our networking event which helped to connect EFS members to our highly achieving Alumni.
I have also spent a lot of time closely working with the current President and other committee members, gaining crucial insight into the inner workings of our society. Therefore, I believe I am the best fit for the role of welfare officer, as I know what aspects of the society need improving on to make UCL’s largest society a networking hub open to all.
As your Welfare Officer,
- Expansion - Increase the number of socials compared to last year so that EFS can become a closer and more enjoyable society for all our members.
- Community - I will create a friendly environment where EFS members can connect and share their experiences, allowing them to learn more about their common passion while also helping to increase their career opportunities.
- Inclusivity - It will be my top priority for each one of you to feel comfortable at our talks and socials, since above all I know the importance of a safe, open and inclusive environment.
Thank you for your time and thoughtful consideration.
