Dutch and Flemish Society: President

Hi, I'm Sophie, and currently serve on the Dutch Soc committee as Welfare Officer. Though my parents are not Dutch, I spent my high school years living in Amsterdam and it's been my home base for the past decade. As a current committee member, I've enjoyed seeing the society grow over the past year! We've successfully organised a range of events for people of both Dutch and non-Dutch origin, including weekly koffieuurtjes, football matches and pub socials with Dutch societies across London unis. As a small society, I think the events in collaboration with others are especially important! This is something I'd like to prioritise as president: events with other UCL cultural societies, London Dutch societies and embassy groups. If elected, I'm excited to work together with the committee to expand the society and welcome all new UCL Dutchies next year :)
