Drama Society: Social Secretary

Hi everybody! I'm Albany, and I would love to be your social secretary for 2025/26!!!! Brief introduction - I'm 21, I am an actor, director and human neuroscience student (so rough... don't even get me started) and I am a big fan of theatre - I am quite amazed at the level of talent in Drama Soc.

While we are talking about theatre, as your social secretary, I would love to plan theatre trips. Living and studying at UCL means the whole of the west end is literally at our doorstep and we absolutely should utilise this. There is so much incredible theatre coming in and out of the west end - it would be a shame to miss it. What else? Pubs and bar nights are a no brainer, as are collabs with other artsUCL societies. I also want to make sure there are inclusive events for everyone, whether you drink or not - so I'd love to offer non-alcohol centred socials - games night, film screenings, a murder mystery event..? 

For me, joining Drama Soc has been so important in creating connections, friendships, and providing somewhere to be creative outside my degree. Socials are what make the Drama Soc / artsUCL community as strong as it is, both onstage and offstage and I am determined to keep it strong. With experience in planning successful socials in similar settings before and as someone who is fiercely organised, I can assure that socials will be fun.
