Drag Society: Treasurer

Hello, I am Dawn Cleaver-Hayden, known within the Drag Society as Dawn Solstice!

I am nominating myself for the role of Treasurer because I joined the Drag Society last year and it has truly felt like a home, so I would love to give back by helping this year! Drag Society has given me the opportunity to really express myself through Drag, and perform throughout several shows!

I have selected the role of Treasurer as I have always been quite good with money, budgeting myself and spending responsibly. Additionally, I believe I would be suitable for this role as I am very organised. It brings me joy to keep on top of things, and this role will fit my personality perfectly. Alongside this, I am very easy to reach for enquiries as I am very punctual with emails and other correspondences.

Hello, my name is Fin, and I’m currently a 1st year Archaeology student. I’ve been a part of DragSoc since I joined UCL this year, and it’s been a privilege to make friends and find my community at uni through it. Being able to give back and help the society continue operating next year as treasurer is very personal to me as a result: I want to use my admin skills to keep DragSoc running smoothly, so that more people can have the experience I’ve had. In archaeology funding is often quite limited, so we are taught and assessed on budgeting and stretching funds as far as possible. Drag is important to me as it has helped me connect with some of the kindest people in my life, so it would be great to be able to use this experience to contribute to DragSoc
