Katie McClure

As a woman who has time and time again proved herself to be the strongest audience member at drag soc, I come into the 2025-2026 academic year yearning for a greater challenge. I now seek to become the strongest committee member.

Having experienced extreme trials of both the body (arm wrestling contests x3) and mind (sitting through a UCL drag show), I feel as though I am well equipped to deal with the hardships that come with being head of production.

Another way in which i demonstrated my mental fortitude was by spending the last show shadowing/ being bossed around by the current head of production. As such , I am very familiar with the prep which goes into the shows. eg compiling guest lists , liasing with stage crew and stage manager, hounding drag queens for their tracks and buying prizes for the games. Under my leadership the winner may now receive two whole sweets. Perhaps three..

As head of production i would also be in charge of deciding themes for the shows. I  love democracy and believe that these themes should be decided by audience vote. I have already compiled a list of proposed themes. eg :

insects

clocks

bugs

heavy machinery such as forklifts

weevils

carbonated beverages.

These themes have been created with the utmost love and passion and under my leadership, so would the UCL drag society shows.

Vote for drag soc’s strongest head of production candidate to date . Vote katie ‘muscles’ mcclure for head of production 2025-2026.
