Wajeeh Uddin

I’m standing for 3rd Year Rep because I know how crucial this year is—we’re balancing academics, career planning, and personal growth, all while trying to make the most of our time at UCL. As someone who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and taking initiative, I want to ensure that 3rd years in the DRRH Society get the best opportunities to connect, learn, and prepare for what comes next.

Studying Global Humanitarian Studies, being a Course Rep, and actively engaging in societies like the Cultural Committee and UCL First Gen has given me a strong understanding of how to represent student voices and create meaningful experiences. I know the value of networking, career-building events, and hands-on learning, and I want to make sure our year group benefits from everything the society offers—whether that’s guest lectures, debates, volunteering, or career-focused opportunities.

Most importantly, I want to make this year feel less overwhelming and more exciting. Whether it’s through socials, industry connections, or just having someone to bring your ideas forward, I’ll work to ensure that 3rd years feel heard, supported, and engaged in a society that truly prepares us for the future.
