I am Kata Mesterhazy, a 2nd year Politics and International Relations student, also the current treasurer of the Diplomacy Society.

Navigating a career in international affairs can be overwhelming. That’s why I want to help you explore your options and find the right path. I'm running for President of the UCL Diplomacy Society to provide real opportunities, mentorship, and a supportive community to help you take the next step in your career.

My plans for next year include:

  1. Internship Hub
  • Tracker of internship listings
  • CV & interview prep
  • Career insights from other students who’ve secured top roles at NATO, House of Commons, UN, etc.
  • Organizing a diplomacy Career Fair

  1. Diversifying Events
  • Launching Women in Politics Series, to emphasize the issue of underrepresentation in diplomacy
  • High-Profile Speakers –Former Vice President of the European Parliament Members of the House of Lords

  1. Networking & Exposure
  • Explore a Variety of Careers in International Relations– Journalism, geopolitics, academia & hostage negotiation
  • Expand Site Visits & Events from Embassies:  Attend Chatham House, House of Commons, and foreign policy hubs together.

Vote for me if you want a society that supports you in achieving your career goals, providing mentorship, networking opportunities, and real-world experience to help you succeed!
