Having served as Networking Officer and President of the Dermatology Society, I am eager to continue contributing as Welfare Officer. My experiences have deepened my commitment to supporting students and ensuring they have access to the best opportunities in dermatology.
As Networking Officer, I expanded our professional connections, helping organise our annual Dermatology Society Conference and facilitating student engagement with leading dermatologists. This taught me the importance of fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
As President, I organised an inter-university teaching programme on skincare, psychodermatology, and surgery, strengthening collaboration between universities. I also played a key role in organising our DermSoc Conference and the first-ever Year 2 Dermatology OSCEs. These experiences honed my leadership, communication, and organisation skills—essential for the role of Welfare Officer.
I have worked to expand our society’s network of dermatologists, ensuring members have access to the best resources and support. As Welfare Officer, I will continue this while prioritising student well-being and fostering a supportive community where students can thrive academically and personally in dermatology.
