I found Delilah in my first year and always thought that it was such a cool concept and something I'd love to participate in. It was only this year I have found a way in which to do so - that mainly being designing for the magazines print, though I have written a couple pieces and have many more in mind! I'm running because I want to take that engagement even further in the next year and help others find that key creative outlet in the way that I have. As someone with more of a fine art background I found that contributing to Delilah was a great way to merge that with my love for music. As well as meet people with similar experiences of having a common space between interests. I would want to encourage this meeting of people and ideas, both physically and through the more collaborative efforts that go into making a magazine, as it has been so important to me. Getting passionate and excited about sharing thoughts on music and all things adjacent is a big part of why I want to run as it has been central to so many of my experiences with the magazine so far. It is also amazing to have seen and continue to see others do the same, as it allows us all to be curious about music in a positive and constructive way. Being president would put me in a position where not only can I share in that but also facilitate it! By that I mean more than just submitting, but actively leading the direction of the magazine and working on the behind the scene processes that keep the magazine alive.
