As someone with a strong background and keen interest in Digital Marketing, becoming the Head of Marketing would give me a platform to utilise the prior experience I have gained through leadership roles and as a First-Year representative within DSS to continue to grow a close-knit community of students who share my passion for Data Science. My previous experiences, as a Management and Digital Marketing intern at Siragu and as a Marketing intern at Paint It Red, have taught me how to successfully pitch and lead collaborations with other organisations, develop effective social media campaigns that engage audiences and have made me proficient in various graphic design platforms (including Canva and Photoshop). These positions have not only taught me key people-management skills but have also helped me hone my organisational and communication skills which I believe would be crucial in helping me execute tasks and manage large teams efficiently.

Hey everyone! I’m very excited to run for Head of Marketing for the UCL Data Science Society! This year, I’ve been an active member of the DSS Committee as a Marketing Executive. I’ve gained firsthand experience in managing our social media presence, creating engaging content, and collaborating with the team to promote our events. I’ve really enjoyed making our content and reaching more people, and now I want to take it even further.
With my experience in digital marketing, my background in data science, and my commitment to the society, I believe that I can lead the marketing team successfully. If elected, I’ll bring in creative ideas for our marketing, so that our events get seen and people get excited to join. I also want to take a more data-driven approach by using insights to make sure our posts reach the right audience and have the biggest impact. Whether it’s through eye-catching visuals, better engagement strategies, or fun new ways to showcase what we do, I’ll make sure our society stands out.
Most importantly, I want to make sure everyone interested in data science knows about the amazing opportunities we offer. So if you want to see an exciting, engaging, and well-promoted Data Science Society next year, I’d love to have your vote!
