We have yet to complete the good work of truly reinvigorating our Society to be the finest on campus, and indeed the greatest Conservative society in the country. I am here to rebuild our Society and revive our range of activities. If re-elected as your President, I shall expand on the events our Society holds:
- Formal Society visits to the races;
- Opening of Term receptions and Port & Policy events at external locations;
- An official relaunch of The Caerulean as our official cultural publication;
- Dinners and socials.
I shall work for each of these pledges to be realised. Our January Port & Policy in Whitehall showed that where there is a will, there is a way. It is in that spirit that we shall henceforth continue our close cooperation with friends across the London Universities Conservatives (LUC) while developing our own set of engaging events, filled with the lively debate one expects of a UCL Conservative Society event. Of course, I shall continue to lead with respect and dignity, with a desire to ensure we operate in a safe and tolerant environment.
It has been my honour to serve as your President over the last 3 months, and to host one of our most high-profile speakers at our Term 2 Dinner. However, our work is not complete, and nothing short of a complete revival of all of our activities is needed. Re-elect me as your President and we can achieve this.
