I have always had a passion for Classics, whether that is academically or trying to promote Classics to other students.

Our Classics Society is a vibrant, engaging, and unique society here at UCL. For a relatively small department, we have an incredibly active society, frequently putting on events such as our pub socials, speaker series, Toga party and various end of term events and I absolutely love this. I am a well-suited candidate to continue and expand the existing provision in the society. As treasurer, I would seek wider collaboration between ClassSoc and History Society and other societies of like-minded members, to foster wider collaboration which would allow us to put on larger events with other students as well as continuing our own more intimate and quirky events.

At school, I was the lead member of our own Classics Society. There, I founded and edited our Classics magazine, Legenda. This is something that I would like to re-introduce within our Society and department to further individual interests through journalism.

Hospitality, accounts and event management are something I have known since my early childhood as my family has been a part of the Hospitality Industry for over 30 years. With my own experience and acquired knowledge from my part-time job, I believe I would be the ideal candidate to manage successful and innovative events for the society as treasurer which everyone would enjoy, taking Classics Society to new heights.
