As the Head of the Academic Department over the past year, I have worked to build an in-depth and influential academic platform, gaining experience in resource coordination, cross-department collaboration, and event planning. I organized events such as postgraduate application panels, academic lectures, and scholar meet-ups, helping Chinese students access valuable academic resources and build connections. I also led external collaborations, including co-hosting an academic salon with UAL, attracting over 100 participants, and partnering with Tsinghua Weiyang Academy to foster international academic exchange. Additionally, I contributed to the first UCL China Forum, expanding CSSA’s academic influence.
These experiences have strengthened my skills while deepening my understanding of the Secretariat’s crucial role. If elected as General Secretary, I will focus on optimizing resource integration, establishing a demand-matching mechanism for external collaboration, and improving workflow efficiency.
CSSA is a community that connects and supports Chinese students and scholars, ensuring that every event and interaction meets real needs. The General Secretary plays a key role in its efficiency, not just in administrative approvals but also as a proactive facilitator of collaboration and innovation. CSSA has allowed me to meet inspiring peers, exchange ideas, and contribute to a vibrant community. I hope to continue this journey with you and would be truly grateful for your support!
