Election post
I am running for Chess Society President because I have played chess since a very young age and have always wanted a position of importance in the sport. My vision is to expand the society by organising regular tournaments, and social events that bring together both competitive and casual players. With my leadership skills and passion for chess, I will work to secure better resources, run teaching sessions and establish partnerships with other university societies and external chess organizations. I want to create a welcoming environment where beginners feel encouraged to learn and experienced players have the opportunity to sharpen their skills. I also believe i have reached a high enough level at candidate master and reaching top 80 in the country to run and be a good president for the chess club.
