Hi! My name is Alba and I am running to be your next Welfare Officer. 🌻
When I first went to Newman House at the beginning of the year (home of the UCL CathSoc, although you probably already know that if you're reading this), I had the pleasure of meeting our current President and Treasurer. As they welcomed me very warmly, I was really grateful for their presence! Today, I hope to positively contribute to the life of the society in the same way! 🌟
Being a university student can be daunting, especially if it's your first time living in London. Since my friends have helped me so much in adapting to this new lifestyle, I always try to do my best to support others the same way they’ve supported me! I’ve really enjoyed attending CathSoc events, going to mass every Sunday (now I cannot lose my streak) and meeting all of you, so I would love to get even more involved by joining the committee! As your Welfare Officer, I’ll be dedicated to promoting a friendly, supportive atmosphere for every member of CathSoc and be ready to listen to any concerns you may have! 💗
About me:
- I am a Law with French Law student, so attending CathSoc events is very necessary for my mental health since I get to talk about other things than M&A, Vacation Schemes and Commercial Awareness. 🙏
- My home is in the French Alps, so I love going on nature expeditions and hiking!! 🥾
- I am Scottish-Peruvian! Unfortunately there isn't any society at UCL for us (yet). 🦙
