Florence Eadie

As a regular CalSoc attendee for the past six months and a full-time Scotsman, I would love to help in the committee to ensure that everyone has and continues to have the most fun possible at all the sessions! I believe the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere of the society is at the heart of it, and will work hard to ensure that this is true for every member of the society - I would love to continue to build upon the wonderful work of the previous committee to bring another year of chaotic fun!

Due to being an MA Fine Art student, I have a lot of experience with the practicalities of events hosting including aspects such as risk assessments (surprising amount of similarities with exhibition hosting!) and I have been trained in general and mental health first aid (though may be a little rusty :P). My degree experience has given me a lot of experience with thinking creatively and working collectively, skills I think I could use in the position of Welfare Officer to help the committee! Most importantly however, I know the fastest walking routes to each of the university pubs.

This society has come to mean a lot to me in a short amount of time, and I would be honoured to help on it's committee for the next year! :)
