The main reason I would love to take on the role of Vice President stems from being able to give forward the same energy to upcoming freshers, making them feel welcoming and inclusive like I did.
In the role of vice president, I aim to
(1) Work closely with the president, turning their visuals into reality.
(2) Serve as a vital communicator between the president and the rest of the committee members so everyone's needs and desires are aligned.
(3) Organize more cultural festivals and expand our club's visibility by collaborating with other Southeast Asian societies.
Before starting at UCL, I had the privilege to intern at an education company, wherein my role included coordinating seminars between business leaders from different industries and the students, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Having organized more than four excursions, I am now emboldened to take on more responsibilities like such in Burmese society. Moreover, my experience as a patient volunteer at Imperial Hospital, where my work is mainly concentrated on accompanying the bedside patients, has equipped me with listening and communication skills essential for effective partnerships.
Finally being a member of society for a year has helped me gain clarity and assurance over how I want to dictate my time at university—fostering a sense of togetherness and a homely environment for Burmese students . BurSoc has, and continues to be, a great journey in appreciating my Burmese heritage and people of my home country.

I have experience in managing and founding the Burmese society this year as treasurer and meeting all of our society members. I want to continue as committee member in a new position where I can improve the society and its future.
I have visions in expanding the scope of its events and sponsorships, aiming to provide student discounts in selected restaurants and improve the overall quality of our events, making them more fun, engaging, and coordinated. In particular, I want to improve communication within the committee next year.
Understanding the shortcoming and strengths of the society this year, I have an understanding of what must be done to make the Burmese sociery better than ever. I hope you all vote for me and have a wonderful year as society together!
