Burmese Society: President

This society has been a huge part of my university experience, and I want to make sure it keeps growing. I’ve always been passionate about building communities that bring people together and making last impacts. That’s why I founded Taylor’s Myanmar Society in A-Levels, creating a space for students to connect and celebrate our culture. I continued that work as Social Secretary for this society. I want to build on that by organising more fun events and activities, creating more opportunities for students to connect, support each other, and feel at home. I’ve seen firsthand how much our culture, friendships, and shared experiences bring us together. Now, I want to take that further.

That means bigger, better events, more opportunities to connect with other societies, and stronger alumni networks to support students beyond university. I want to expand our reach, collaborate with other societies (both within and beyond UCL), and create opportunities that help our members grow—whether that’s through career connections, alumni networks, or cultural initiatives. But most importantly, I want to make sure everyone feels supported and at home!
