Hi, I’m Kira, this is my 5th year with boat club and I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being your president this year. Having had the privilege to take on this role and work in every aspect of club life, I would love the opportunity to give back to this incredible club as a committee member one last time.
What I hope to achieve as one of your VPs & Alumni officers:
- A flourishing alumni community that members are excited to become a part of
- Accessible VPs events
- Continue to build alumni engagement in all aspects of club life (socials, academics & rowing!) by boosting existing channels of communication
- Alumni crew at bumps
- Alumni day at the river
I absolutely love this club and will strive to channel my enthusiasm into this role. My two years as senior women’s captain have given me the necessary experience in organisation and motivating members to come together, which will lend itself well to bringing back alumni rowing. Likewise, being president this year means that I not only have experience in securing funding, sponsorships and event planning, but I know exactly what the role will entail and how best to work together with the other committee members to foster the incredible community that our current members and alumni deserve!

Key points

- continue to work on the interactive alumni map and increase the number of alumni entering their information.
- look further at options for a lower cost winter VPs event
- bring back more doctors at SN!
