Hello everyone, I’m Rohith and I would like to nominate myself as Social Secretary of Bhangra!

For me, this role is essential in promoting community, facilitating better relationships both for existing members and newcomers - allowing us all to perform more confidently and enjoyably with more club spirit. Unfortunately, few socials were organised this year, although I am very excited to change that. From Poker Sessions and Society Dinners to Club Nights and Movies, Bhangra Soc will be great fun.

Moreover, I would love to collaborate with the committee to organise guest workshops and joint socials with other societies, both promoting ourselves and developing social bridges with other clubs!

Jantaj Singh
Saaj Noorpuri

Hi everyone, I’m Saaj and I’m happy to announce my candidacy for Bhangra Society’s Social Secretary. Running for this position is an exciting opportunity for me to give back to a community that has given me so much. Performing in Rangeela was one of the highlights of my experience—it wasn’t just about dancing, but about the connections and the family I gained in the process. The bond I formed with my team made me realise how important it is to have a strong, supportive community, and I want to ensure every member feels that same sense of belonging.

Beyond our weekly classes, I want to organise events that bring us closer together, whether someone is a beginner, a professional or simply wants to experience Punjabi culture. From casual meetups to bigger socials, I will plan events that cater to everyone, ensuring that no one feels left out. My goal is to create a space where friendships flourish and last beyond the stage, enhancing every members’ university experience.

Collaboration is key, and I’m eager to work with the committee to bring fresh, exciting ideas to life. I want to create a variety of opportunities for members to connect beyond dance and also promote a wider interest in Bhangra beyond the society, whether that’s through collaborations with other societies or open events that welcome new people to experience the energy and culture. My goal is to create a fun and inclusive environment where everyone feels involved, both within the society and beyond .
