Hi everyone, my name is Nancy and I am a first year BSc Psychology student.
I am applying for the role of Welfare Officer because I am passionate about fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where all members feel valued and empowered. As a Psychology student, I have a strong interest in behavioural science and its real-world applications, I believe that promoting well-being within the society will enhance both individual experiences and collective innovation. My ability to collaborate with welfare officers from other societies and contribute to SU campaigns will help raise awareness of key issues affecting our community. Additionally, I am eager to take initiative in managing welfare fund applications that promote mental well-being, accessibility and engagement within the society.
As a current member of Physical Applied Project team, I am familiar with BIS's targets and goals, as well as how to effectively communicate with team members. Through strategic planning and teamwork, I aim to support committee members in organising impactful events that align with the society’s mission, ensuring that welfare remains at the heart of our activities.
