I am standing for the position of Treasurer because I am passionate about supporting our team and social members and ensuring we can make the most of our limited resources. As a first-year student and a member of the UCL men's 2s basketball team, I have first-hand experience of the challenges we face, particularly the need to be strategic with our finances to book courts effectively, given the lack of a dedicated sports hall.
My previous role as Head of Basketball at my sixth form equipped me with the leadership and organisational skills necessary to manage budgets and allocate resources efficiently. I am committed to maximising our club’s financial potential, ensuring every penny is spent wisely to enhance our training and match-day experiences.
I believe my background and perspective as both a player and a leader uniquely position me to contribute positively to the club’s growth and success.

I am eager to step into the role of Treasurer for our upcoming season and take on more responsibility in our club.
This year, I have balanced a job as a financial analyst for a real estate development firm alongside my studies. I believe that I can manage the time required for this responsibility, as well as the patience to deal with our Student Union.
I strongly hold that sound financial management along with a more coherent club structure is necessary for our club's growth. Without proper oversight of our finances, we'll struggle to provide the opportunities and increased court time we all want. I'm committed to transparent and sound financial stewardship that allows us to enjoy our dear sport as much as we can.
With your support, I'll work to improve our club's financial position, creating a foundation for us to achieve more together in the seasons ahead.

I am standing for Treasurer because I want to give back to the UCL Basketball Society and help it continue to grow. Playing for the 4th team this year has been an incredible experience, giving me a strong sense of community and making me appreciate how much effort goes into running the club. I want to contribute by ensuring we have the financial resources to support all teams, organise great events, and make basketball as accessible as possible for everyone.
I believe I would make a great Treasurer because I am organized, reliable, and confident in handling finances. With my background in Mathematics, I have the numerical skills to manage budgets effectively and allocate resources efficiently. Beyond that, I care deeply about this society and want to play a role in making it even better for current and future members. As Treasurer, I would be committed to maintaining financial transparency and helping the club continue to thrive.
