As a committed first-team player wanting to have a positive impact both on and off the court, I am passionate about building a strong basketball community at UCL. To do this, I have three objectives:
One of my main goals is to bring all of the teams closer together, whether through playing basketball or social events. By increasing the number of club-wide tournaments/events, inter-team scrimmages, and club socials, I aim to foster a community where all UCL Club Basketball players are true teammates.
Another priority is improving the frequency of access to better courts for both the Club teams and the social basketball group. I will work to secure better time slots and possibly establish open gym times at local gyms and sports centers so players can get shots up and scrimmage independently from social basketball or practices.
Additionally, I hope to improve communication within the club, making sure all players on all teams feel heard and involved. Ensuring our social media accounts share the fixtures and pictures of all teams will be the starting point. I will also work towards establishing a feedback mechanism through anonymous forms for members to voice ideas, criticism, and praise to ensure everyone has a voice in the actions of the club.
My goal is to build a proud, connected, and winning basketball community. If elected, I'll bring dedication, organization, and a vision for growth to the club.
