Jasmine Khalique

I would love to be the Bengali society welfare officer in the upcoming committee given that I am passionate about maintaining a supportive, healthy and active environment for people within our community - Bengali or not. Namely, I have completed the UCL safeguarding training for my student ambassador role which shows my exposure and awareness to possible issues our society could face and what I, as welfare officer, could do to support our society in preventing such issues from arising and supporting relevant individuals if issues do arise. I am committed to maintaining a Bsoc that is a safe space for everyone regardless of religious identity, race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender etc.

I have attended several Bsoc events as the current charity representative so I hope my face is already familiar and if not - I hope to become a familiar face within the community so people know who to approach with confidence :)

Finally, I am super passionate about my Bengali identity and alongside my role, i can't wait to share my beautiful culture with everyone
