Badminton Club: Treasurer

Badminton is a sport i hold a deep love for. Having played it for over 7 years, I appreciate nothing more than the pure energy and adrenaline you get from knocking about a shuttle, both competitively and non-competitively. When you vote for me, I can guarantee you all my attention and efforts to make sure that you will get the most out of being a part of this badminton society and family. Why can you trust me? I have prior experience in leadership, being the former badminton captain of my college team, as well as being on social committees at UCL, so i know how to lead an organisation and be the team player at the same time. Moreover, I have qualifications in asset management and accountancy, so i can provide the technical skills required for a role as a treasurer. But it doesn’t stop there, i want the very best for you as a player, so by voting for me you can be assured an outlet for any problems or even ideas you have for the society, as i will be more than happy to relay your thoughts and feelings to the president and other committee members. For example, i know how annoying it is trying to compete for spaces when people give up their slots in the group chat, as well as not enough courts. Trust me, i share your frustration. By voting for me, I will make sure these problems get solved, but i wont stop there. I think its time that we started making drinking and party socials for the club, after all we are a uni society. In conclusion, if you vote for me, I will deliver. 

I started badminton back when I was a little child along with various other sports like athletics. The reason I was pulled into Badminton was the fun atmosphere I always had in clubs and trainings, and this remains as one of the goals I have when organising and running sessions - to make them fun. 

I want to help out with organising our social sessions and the administration side of our club. I will take responsibility of court bookings for sessions, managing the club's finances and giving you a voice in our club.

As part of the Men's 1st myself, I understand the need to develop our players to remain competitive in the BUCS leagues and go further in the various competitions across the year. I will organise our performance training and s&c sessions and ensure we stay do our best to stay top of the Premiership table again next year.
