Hi, I’m Angel, a PPE student. Over the past few months, I have been an active part of Asiatic Affairs as a regional representative and writer, regularly publishing blogs and articles on Asian cultures and social issues. Attending the society’s socials has allowed me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, deepening my appreciation for different cultures. Now, I would love to give back to this community by stepping up as President.

I want to make sure the society remains a welcoming space for cultural exchange and fun experiences. Here’s what I’d bring to the role:

  • More informal socials and cultural nights: dinner gatherings, cooking sessions, and casual meetups
  • Festival celebrations and traditions: host events to explore the history and celebrate Lunar New Year, Diwali, Ramadan, and other major cultural festivals
  • Workshops on languages and traditional arts: collaborating with other societies to host sessions on origami, tea ceremonies, calligraphy, and more
  • Giving members a voice through supporting more opinion pieces in article writing and hosting debates on underrepresented topics in the media

With experience leading societies like Amnesty International Society and a debate team in high school, I bring strong leadership and communication skills to the role. My goal is to make Asiatic Affairs Society a tight-knit community where everyone feels welcome to learn, share, and celebrate.

Thank you for your support!
