As a first-year student, I have completely fallen in love with this program—not only with the academic flexibility and the variety of profiles it attracts but also with the incredible people and the unique atmosphere that make BASc so special. I would love to contribute to this community and help strengthen the bonds that make it so vibrant.
Throughout my life, I have naturally taken on the role of the organizer—the friend who plans trips, events, and even a prom with a €15,000 budget. Leadership has been part of my journey from a young age: through scouting, captaining my sports teams, and serving as class representative from ages 12 to 18, I have learned to take initiative, delegate tasks, work in a team, and, most importantly, bring people together.
Federating people is one of my greatest strengths. I thrive on creating connections, making sure everyone feels included, and organizing meaningful experiences. Social creativity is something I take pride in, and I am never afraid to invest my time and energy (I have A LOT of it) to ensure that others can enjoy moments that bring us all closer. Additionally, I have always communicated in a calm and diplomatic way, ensuring that discussions remain constructive and that everyone’s voice is heard.
I would love the opportunity to dedicate myself to this role and help shape an even more engaging and dynamic BASc experience for everyone.

Hello BASc-ers, my name is Yuma and I am running for Vice President for BASc soc 2025/2026!
As a first year societies BASc student, I have been loving my time in the department and would like to be even more involved on a society level as well!
As this department is spread out across all disciplines, I find that the society is important in creating a sense of community between us BASC-ers, which is my main goal for next year! I think it would be beneficial for the society to plan more events regularly, spread the word about the society happenings and organise inclusive events throughout the year.
My experience as your language rep this year has helped me understand the responsibilities of being a student rep, and I am fully prepared to take on the role of VP for the society, to liaise between students and committee and fulfil VP duties.
As VP, I will take on the responsibility of assisting the president, head of events and head of marketing to make BASc society even more enjoyable and fun for all students. This means collaborating with the rest of committee to plan events and much more!
Vote for me as VP to guarantee a fun year in the BASc society 2025/2026!
