Analogue Magazine: Activities Officer

I’m standing for Activities Officer because I’m passionate about fostering a creative and social community within Analogue Magazine. As a proactive and organised individual, I’m eager to bring engaging, well-planned events that bring our members together beyond just the pages of the magazine.

I believe social events should reflect the spirit of Analogue—a space for creativity, discussion, and collaboration. I’d organise relaxed coffee shop socials, providing a space for writers, photographers, and designers to connect and share ideas in an informal setting. Games nights would add a fun, interactive element, helping to build friendships within the society. Additionally, I’d introduce magazine-themed events, such as a Cover Star Portrait Session, where members can style and photograph each other for mock magazine covers, experimenting with editorial photography and creative direction. A "Behind the Pages" speaker series could also bring past contributors or industry professionals to share insights into publishing, photography, and design.

With my proactive nature and strong organisational skills, I want to make Analogue more than just a publication—an experience. I would also collaborate with societies like UCL Photography Society or other magazine societies to create crossover events that inspire creativity and expand our community.
