To answer this question shortly: I wish to bring my skills in budgeting, expense tracking and financial management to a society that I love.

As the founder of a growing tuition company, I manage large sums of finances on a daily basis: whether a parent is paying tuition fees, cashing out a
coupon, or requesting a refund for a trial lesson, I have the responsibility to ensure that in every transaction I make, the correct amount of money goes to
my tutors, the parents and I. And then there's advertising, marketing, eCommerce and website expenses, which I must calculate precisely and minimise in
order to maximise profits. To make sure no mistakes are made, I keep a meticulous record every single financial transaction I make in this company in a
database - all qualities essential for a Treasurer.

During high school, my role as a student leader and treasurer in Project Privates further demonstrates my ability to manage funds responsibly for an
organisation. Through this student-led initiative, we successfully organised various fundraising activities around the campus, from which we were able to
raise thousands for the Movember Foundation: money which I was tasked to keep track of, manage, and allocate to donate to a few different causes, which
further strengthened my ability to manage finances.

As a founder/CEO experienced in handling finances, as well as having years of internship experience in financial management, I believe that I am the perfect
candidate for this role.

2024 CNY Scala—the moment I found a community that felt like a second home. I am committed to contributing and playing a bigger role in this society. As a first-year Economics student at UCL and a proud member of ABACUS, I am running for Treasurer to help the society grow and thrive. My experience as a First-Year Representative, combined with my strong mathematical background makes me a strong candidate to serve my fellow ABACUS members.

Organising our first-year rep event was a major learning experience, helping me understand how the ABACUS committee works. From selecting activities to securing sponsors, every step of the process was rewarding. Seeing our board games night come to life was incredibly fulfilling, deepening my passion for being part of this committee. Additionally, having achieved 90% in A-Level Further Maths, I have developed strong problem-solving skills that will be crucial in managing ABACUS’s finances. Furthermore, during my internship, I utilised Excel to forecast our clients' cash flow and profitability, and ensured accuracy through meticulous attention to detail — an important skill when handling a budget.

If elected, I will ensure ABACUS’s funds are responsibly handled with well-supported events, enabling UCL ABACUS to continue thriving as the best of its kind in London.

Within me, there is Passion, vision and a lot of positive mindset for this society. I may not be the best orator, leader or possess the best traits both outwards and within but I am

You can also expect to count on me for my undying support through sickness and health (unless it’s rly bad like a flu) and commitment for all involved at Abacus. I also do have hay fever

I despise the title of committee member as we are all equal in Mao’s great vision for the world. As such if I were to land a role in the servitude for Abacus members, feel no pressure to refer to me as society committee role holder. Long story short, imagine me as a friend, a shoulder to cry on, an open door to console with and a dependable 兄弟。

And that’s all I have to say about thæt

(P.S. I will handle money responsibly, I have never over spent my uni loan monthly total. & I’ll within capacity I shall spend lavishly to improve all aspects of abacus life 👍🏻)
