Adrian Tong

Hi, I’m Adrian, a first-year at UCL and the current ABACUS First-Year Rep. Being part of the committee this year has given me firsthand experience in representing members, contributing to event promotion, and working closely with an amazing team. It’s been a rewarding experience, and I’m excited to take it further as your General Secretary.

I thrive in creative and fast-paced environments, where strong visuals, strategic outreach, and seamless communication make all the difference. I understand how to create impact, build connections, and ensure ABACUS continues to grow. More than just publicity, this role brings people together, shapes our society’s presence, and makes every event feel like an experience worth remembering.

I’d love the opportunity to represent you and help make ABACUS even bigger and better. Looking forward to meeting more of you and making this next year unforgettable!

Jenny Wu

Hey! I’m Jenny Wu, a first-year Economics student. I am nominating myself for the role of General Secretary at ABACUS because I have genuinely loved being a member of the society. I will try not to be too cliché and simply outline why I would be a perfect committee member.
A wee bit of social media and design are right up my street; whether it’s creating pretty posters for social nights, making reels/tiktoks for events, or keeping our Instagram feed alive and engaging, I’ll make sure ABACUS stands out and strengthens society’s presence and engagement. I am confident in ensuring that our online presence is as dynamic as our events. I’ll work to ensure every post, story, and reel reflects the energy and inclusivity of our society.
But of course, it’s not just about the aesthetics; it’s also about creating a space where everyone feels welcome and included. I will actively seek input from members to ensure our content and events resonate with you. Also, by working closely with the rest of my peers, I will help organise and promote memorable events suited to everyone. Whether you’re here for the food, nightlife, or just to make more friends, I will make sure ABACUS feels like home.
I hope to be elected, bringing creativity, reliability and a genuine passion for making ABACUS the best it can be.
It will be a fun and unforgettable year!
