Ask any of my friends, Tuesdays from 6-8 are sacred times for me because as long as I can, I will be attending those poetry feedback sessions. 

Sharing my own poetry and reading that of others has provided me with so much joy this year. These sessions are a space to be a little strange, to try and spill the contents of your brain onto a page and see what comes out. To have people pay attention (and attention is love, at least according to Ladybird (2017)). 

I would love to be chair of poetry and continue the running of these feedback sessions. I love reading, writing and talking about poetry and would do my best to offer my guidance on improvement, but also my friendship. My priority as chair would be to protect that space where can bond over words and their power, and how they can help us to feel less alone.
