I am eager to express my interest in the role of Head of Relations and Outreach within UCL Women in Finance Society. Establishing a strong network of communication is vital for the growth of our society. Given the challenges women face in contrast to men in building these connections, the creation of a robust network is crucial.
My vision as Head of Relations and Outreach is to bridge the gap between finance and emergent technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, which stands at the forefront of financial innovation. In these innovative partnerships and connections, I aim to position our society at the forefront of upcoming financial evolution, ensuring we are primed for the next wave of financial technology.
Anticipating my upcoming internship at Rothschild & co bank, I see a direct pathway to enhancing our society's ties with prestigious financial entities. This role provides a platform to harness these new connections for our society’s benefit.
In my previous internship at Monnier Paris, I shadowed the communication officer, developing my skills in engaging with diverse audiences, from individual customers to large retailers, and learned how to create captivating newsletters. This experience has not only fueled my enthusiasm for communication, but also equipped me with the necessary abilities to expand our society's influence and develop a network that serves our members' aspirations.

Hi everyone! I’m Sabrina, a first year BSc Statistics, Economics and Finance student, running to be the Head of Relations & Outreach for WinF next year.
As my High School Student Council’s Vice President, head of various service committees, and a passionate member of WinF, I believe I can thrive in this role. My experiences include leading female empowerment initiatives, and in that process, working with women of diverse backgrounds, and conducting career-related interviews with my High School’s alumni. I am confident in utilising my communication and interpersonal skills to foster WinF’s bond with our alumni community.
As the Head of Relations & Outreach, I will enforce the following agenda:
- Unify alumni network through the Linkedin group chat and other forms of social media. I will aim to send out monthly newsletters regarding WinF’s recent activities so that our alumni can feel included in our actions and progress.
- Strengthen connections:
- Between students and alumni: by organising more speaker’s events for alumni to share their professional insights, as well as networking events such as dinners and structured speed-networking.
- Between alumni: by organising WinF’s alumni social networking events. This will benefit the alumni to expand their professional network, and in turn be more motivated to support our members.
By voting for me, I will be proactive in strengthening our network to establish new opportunities for our society!

Hello, my name is India and I am thrilled to be applying for the role of Head of Relations and Outreach. I am a fifth-year medical student and have been involved in many UCL committees including being President of the UCL Society "Sexpression" for two consecutive years and also acting as the Diversity and Inclusion Executive for the UCL MedTech Committee. My experiences in both of these societies have required me to foster relationships with external organisations, whether that be local schools to hold teaching sessions for Sexpression, finding speakers for panel discussions, and liaising with committee members in the form of a weekly newsletter. My prior experience means that I know how to work as an effective part of a high-functioning committee and I know what is required of an efficient Relations and Outreach committee member.
I have experienced a warm welcome into the society and have enjoyed a plethora of events held by the society including HSBC share the vision. I am keen to further integrate into WinF by holding a committee position and I am excited to see how the society develops over the next year.
Thank you!
