Welsh Society: Vice President and Welfare Officer

Hey everyone! I am Danilo :) I have been Welfare Officer/VP of the society since 2022 and on the committee since 2021, and I have many plans for next year, including:

1.) Continuing the regular Welfare Checks in the groupchat in order to see how members are doing and to check in on those not doing too well so I can provide support + providing useful links and resources to help members, including promoting the Participation fund in order to help members afford the activities

2.) Apply for the UCL Welfare Fund for the society in order to purchase pronoun badges and disability lanyards in order to help our members

3.) Run Welfare Socials (such as "Biscuit and Chat" drop ins which will involve Welsh cakes) and other fun events, such as Kahoot nights, movie nights, donut socials, game nights, pub socials and more!

4.) Organise collabs with other societies, universities and networks so that our members can make more friends

5.) Organise a Pen-pal scheme so that members can connect with people not only from Wales but also Welsh communities around the world and improve their language skills

6.) Organise a weekend trip to Wales

Not only do I have 3 years experience in this society, but I have also led a number of other societies and groups which gives me great experience of being on the committee of societies, and I have a lot of connections to organise collabs and help our members.
