Myroslava Kovalchuk

Pryvit! My name is Myroslava and I am running to be your Treasurer.

Ukraine's bravery is unmatched. In times of hardship we have lost neither our culture nor our positive spirit. It is a truly beautiful nation and I am honoured to be a part of it. I want to continue working in this committee to help spread our rich culture. UCL.UA has become my place of comfort over the years. I want to keep building this ‘home away from home’ for both Ukrainians and other nationalities alike.

I was born in Kyiv, however, I lived most of my life in Hostomel’. I did both my GCSEs and A-levels in a British boarding school and now I am a Year 2 Mathematics student here at UCL. I am currently a member of three committees and a course representative. Positions of Treasurer in Rugby Society, Marketing Director in Maths Society and Social Secretary in Ukrainian Society have all given me invaluable experience in running one. Furthermore, my degree in Mathematics and my knowledge of the financial world will help me greatly in managing our society’s funds. Having acquired a sponsorship deal for UCL Women’s Rugby, I am confident I can find one for UCL.UA. A sponsorship will allow our society to grow and give back to our members like never before. Additionally, I am set on running even more donation drives and charity events to help support our nation and its citizens.

I look forward to using my experience to broaden the reach of Ukrainian Society and our country even further.
