TFL Society: Treasurer

Hello!

I am Jamie, a first-year Undergraduate studying Biomedical Engineering. I would like to put myself forward to be treasurer of the TfL society as I feel I have the sufficient skills required, as well as a passion for London Transport.

I possess the financial and mathematical skills required to balance books and maintain efficient use of capital to maximise how many events the society can run.

I am a proud South Londoner with a strong passion for all things TfL since I was young. I would love to work with like-minded students to create engaging events and continue the growth of this great society by expanding our friendly and welcoming community.

Hello! I am Declan Loo, and I am a 1st Year Computer Science student. I have been passionate about all modes of transport since I was young! I am also fortunate to be given an offer by Macquarie to participate in a Spring Insight Programme, which I will take part this April. I enjoyed my time being a member of TfL society, and I am excited to continue contributing to the society in the role of Treasurer. As Treasurer for the TfL Society, I will be overseeing the fiscal responsibilities of the society where I will be recording any expenditure or income on behalf of the society and to plan the budget for upcoming society events. With my past experience in financial management, budgeting and record-keeping, I am committed to maintaining accurate and transparent financial records of the society, and to manage the society's funds to the best of my ability, while allocating money for as many events as we can for our members. I will also work collaboratively with the committee to ensure that every financial decision aligns with the society's goals and benefits our members. I will be creating and regularly updating a financial log so our committee can understand our society's financial position.
